The visor system of the Hornet X2 features an all-new V-460 visor that has been fine-tuned and perfected in SHOEI’s wind tunnel. Its innovative “wedge” shape and strategically placed louvers yield the optimal balance between aerodynamics and traditional visor functionality. Additionally, the quarter-turn screws allow for quick installation.

Ventilation performance is essential for dual-sport riding, which is why the Hornet X2 underwent extensive testing in SHOEI’s wind tunnel to achieve the perfect balance between airflow, silence, and functionality.

Comfort is key, and the Hornet X2 delivers with its fully removable, washable, adjustable, and replaceable 3D Max-Dry System II interior, capable of dissipating sweat 2x faster than traditional nylon interiors. The helmet also features a cheek pad channel for eyeglasses.

The CNS-2 shield provides a wider and taller field of vision, protecting from 99 percent of the sun’s damaging UV rays and ensuring a distortion-free view throughout the entire field of vision. The QR-N base plate system facilitates quick and efficient shield changes.

For those who prefer goggles, the Hornet X2 offers a roomy eye port that accepts goggles when the shield is in the fully open position, with quick-release base plates for easy shield removal.

The dual-layer/multi-density liner provides enhanced impact absorption by utilizing varying densities of foam and allowing cool air to travel unrestricted through tunnels created in the EPS. Additionally, the emergency quick release system allows medical personnel to easily and safely remove the cheek pads from an injured rider’s helmet.
